A total of 68 male teams and and 61 female teams, are as of today confirmed for the ISSA Boys and Girls Athletics Championships which will runs from next week Tuesday through Saturday at the National Stadium.
The male teams will see an overall total of 506 athletes while the female teams will have 464 for a total of 970 competitors across the 80 schools.
About 50 percent of schools will enter ten athletes or less.

The event was cancelled last year owing to the Covid 19 pandemic and this year will be held without spectators at the Stadium.

Meanwhile the new look opening day roster will see 6 boys events being decided, while 10 will be decided in the girls competition.
The boys 2 thousand meters steeplechase open will be the first boys final to be decided, followed by the javelin open, the Class one long jump, and the 100 meters hurdles for Classes 3, 2 and 1.
On the girls side the 2000 meters steeplechase open will be the first final to be decided, followed by the Class 1 high jump, the Class 3 long jump and the Class 3 discuss.
they will be followed by the class 2 shot put, the class 3 high jump, the class 4 70 meters hurdles, the Class 3 80 meters hurdles and the Class 2 and one 100 meters hurdles.
