There are 1,649 active Covid-19 cases in Jamaica.
This as 11,253 of the 13,368 people diagnosed with the virus to date, have recovered.
Meanwhile, 91 people are hospitalised, with 8 being critically ill and 8 moderately ill.
The death toll remains at 306, as there was no new death.
However, the Health Ministry says there was one coincidental death, pushing that number to 50.
26 total deaths are under investigation.
Meantime, 38 new cases were recorded yesterday (January 6), 18 are males, 19 females while 1 case is under investigation.
Their ages range from 3 to 85 years
Kingston and St. Andrew recorded the highest number of cases with 16, followed by Clarendon with 5, Manchester and St. Catherine with 4 each, St. Elizabeth and St. Mary had 3 each, while St. Ann had 2 and St. James had 1.
