by November 23rd, 2021

The Ministry of Health and Wellness says it has received some two hundred thousand doses of the Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine.

The vaccine developed by China was donated by the Chinese Government and arrived on the island on Saturday.

The Ministry says syringes were also donated.

In May, the World Health Organization listed the Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine for emergency use, giving the green light for the vaccine to be rolled out globally.

In addition to China, several countries have approved the use of the Sinopharm vaccine, among them, Canada.
