An eighty-seven-year-old female from Westmoreland whose death was previously under investigation is the country’s latest Covid-19 casualty.
Her death pushes the tally to 257.
The Health Ministry says one more death is under investigation.
Meantime, 54 new Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday (November 29) pushing the tally to 10,763.
22 are males and 32 females with ages ranging from 12 to 83 years.
Kingston & St. Andrew recorded the highest number of cases 14, St. Catherine 11, Westmoreland 9, Trelawny 6, St. James 4, Hanover 3, Manchester and St. Elizabeth 2 and Portland, St. Mary and St. Thomas 1 each.
Meantime there were 153 new recoveries pushing the tally to 6,219
There are 4,139 active cases.
70 persons are hospitalized, 11 are moderately ill while 9 are critically ill.
