Jamaica records 1 more Covid-19 related death and 89 new cases

A 64yearold woman from the Corporate Area is the latest person to have died from Covid-19 in the country.

Her death pushes the country’s toll to 313.

Meantime, 89 new cases have pushed the country’s case count to 13,637.

Of the new cases 34 are males and 55 are females, with ages ranging from 4 to 86 years.

St. Catherine recorded the highest number of cases with 30, followed by Kingston and St. Andrew with 24, Clarendon 8, St. Ann 7, Manchester 6, St. James 5, Hanover 3, Westmoreland and St. Mary 2, and St. Elizabeth and Trelawny 1 each.

Meantime there were 77 recoveries.

1,659 cases are active.

88 persons are hospitalized, with 6 patients moderately ill, and 5 patients critically ill.
