Jamaica records 2 more Covid-19 related deaths and 82 new cases

Two more senior citizens have died from Covid-19, pushing the country’s death toll to 317.

The deceased are a 69-year-old female from Hanover, and a 71-year-old male from St. James.

The death of the 71-year-old was previously under investigation.

Meantime, Jamaica recorded 92 more Covid-19 cases, bringing the overall figure to 13,852.

Of the new cases, 43 are males and 49 are females, with ages ranging from 2 to 82 years.

Kingston and St. Andrew recorded the highest number of cases with 28, St. James had 17, St. Catherine and St. Thomas 10 each, Clarendon 8, Manchester and St. Ann 6 each, St. Elizabeth and Trelawny 2 each, and Westmoreland, St. Mary and Portland 1 each.

98 persons are hospitalised, with 6 patients moderately ill and 7 patients critically ill.

However, 42 more persons have recovered from Covid-19.
