Labour and Social Security Minister, Shahine Robinson, has been admitted to hospital.
There is no official word as to the circumstances that resulted in the Labour Minister being taken to hospital.
Mrs. Robinson is the Jamaica Labour Party Member of Parliament for North East St. Ann.
Chairman of the Jamaica Labour Party Robert Montague would only say that the party is wishing her a speedy recovery, and is praying for her health.
He added that the party is confident that she will be able to stay strong and rise above the challenge.
The Labour Minister is said to have been preparing for Heroes Day celebrations next week, when she fell ill.
