Man charged with murder of 4-year-old girl in Trelawny

The Trelawny police have charged a man with the murder, of 4-year-old Chloe Brown in Freeman’s Hall in Trelawny on Monday, January 11.

He is 36-year-old Kevin Williams otherwise called Bug Head, a Chef of the community and Red Hills Road, Mount Zion in St. Andrew.

He has also been charged with wounding with intent, burglary and illegal possession of firearm.

Reports from the police are that about 12:40 p.m. on Monday, Williams, allegedly armed with a firearm, gained entry to the house through the roof and a struggle ensued between him and Chloe’s father.

Williams allegedly fired several shots hitting the father in his leg.

Chloe who was asleep on the bed was shot in her abdomen.

Chloe and her father were taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead and her father admitted in stable condition.

Williams who reportedly went into hiding, was later found by citizens and handed over to the police.

He was charged.

His court date is being finalized.
