The New Board of the Clarendon Alumina Production Limited, CAP, has been tasked with ensuring that the incorporation process is completed successfully, so that Jamaicans can benefit.
Professor Gordon Shirley has been appointed chairman of the new board.
The update was given by Finance Minister Dr. Nigel Clarke in parliament, on Tuesday.
Dr. Clarke took over portfolio responsibility for CAP, after the entity was transferred from the Mining Ministry, in the wake of controversy surrounding a contractual arrangement between CAP and the company that was undertaking the incorporation process.
He outlined the requirements of the new board.
