Opposition on health says no tighter curfew restrictions needed for tomorrow, Ash Wednesday

Opposition spokesman on Health and Wellness, Dr. Morais Guy, says there is no need for additional COVID-19 restrictions to be implemented tomorrow, Ash Wednesday.


This following a call for tighter curfew hours for the upcoming holiday to combat the spread of COVID-19.


Over the past week, the country has been recording over 200 positive COVID-19 cases daily.


The latest data revealed that 468 more persons tested positive for the virus, yesterday.


Speaking with IRIE FM news, Dr. Guy explains that Ash Wednesday, unlike other holidays, is less likely to have immense gatherings.
