Opposition says Government must ensure teachers are ready For PEP

by August 23rd, 2018

Opposition Spokesman on Education, Ronald Thwaites, says the concerns raised by the Jamaica Teachers Association (JTA) about the introduction of the Primary Exit Profile (PEP) must be given account.

Mr. Thwaites says while he agrees that PEP is an improvement over the Grade Six Achievement Test (GSAT), he believes that it is important to ensure teachers are ready to deliver the curriculum.

The Opposition Spokesman says if the teachers are not satisfied, it will lead to a bad outcome for the education sector.
