PM Holness cautious on public utterances about vaccines

by February 26th, 2021

Amid concerns that the government is behind schedule with its vaccination programme, Prime Minister Andrew Holness said government has to be careful about public utterances on issues relating to vaccines, due to bilateral and multilateral considerations.

Recently, the opposition lamented that Jamaica’s covid vaccination procurement programme, should have been far advanced, especially since other countries had already received the doses.

The Prime Minister noted that the work being done behind the scenes, will leave room for speculation.

Despite the challenges that exist regarding getting the vaccines, Mr. Holness is assuring that the country is on track to getting the jabs.
