Prime Minister Andrew Holness has called for greater digital alliance with the global community in a bid to foster more cooperation with local and international partners.
He made the call yesterday during his virtual address to the general debate of the 76th session of the general assembly of the United Nations.
Mr. Holness said dealing with the negative consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, will require greater engagement of the public and private sectors, in building foundations for long term development.
He said the core of building resilience lies in restoring the health and well-being of people.
He added that the common vision must be one in which the United Nations can act as the catalyst for hope, and as an instrument of progress.
