The police will be increasing their presence on the nation’s roadways to ensure that persons adhere to the COVID-19 restrictions, even as they celebrate Emancipation Day today.

Speaking with IRIE FM news, Head of the police Corporate Communications Unit, Senior Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay says with today’s 3 pm curfew, the police will be ramping up efforts to ensure that citizens are compliant.

SSP Lindsay is also appealing to persons conducting airport pickups and drop-offs to have a copy of the traveller’s itinerary.
