The police are reporting a high level of compliance by citizens on the first day of the weekend lockdowns.
Members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, JCF were deployed across the island yesterday (March 27) to enforce the first of three weekend lockdowns which began at noon.
It will end at 5 a.m. tomorrow.
Head of the Police Corporate Communication Unit, Senior Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay told Irie Fm News that citizens displayed a high level of compliance.
She is reminding persons to be compliant and that home parties are not allowed.
