Politicians protest against violence in Mountain View

Several politicians took to the streets of East Kingston yesterday (January 5), united in protest against the on-going violence in the area.


Recently, there has been a flare-up of gang violence in Mountain View, affecting the Jacques Road, Goodridge Lane and Back Bush communities.


Speaking with reporters following the protest, Member of Parliament for East Kingston, Julian Robinson said persons within the area are fearful and something must be done to curb this.



Meantime, Councillor for Vineyard Town, Andrew Swaby said the police will be maintaining a high presence in the area.
