PSTEB Head says poor road practices by motorists and pedestrians will not be tolerated this new school year

Despite experiencing no serious traffic congestion or other major issues on yesterday’s (September 5) start to the new school year, the police say they have seen some road practices that will not be tolerated.

Yesterday, members of the Constabulary, including the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch (P-STEB) were deployed across the island to ensure smooth operations, as schools reopened.

Speaking with IRIE FM news, Head of P-STEB, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Gary McKenzie said public passenger operators and some pedestrians are not using the roadways carefully.
