Reggae Girl Khadija Shaw pens two-year contract extension with Manchester City

Reggae girls captain and star striker Khadija ‘bunny’ Shaw has put pen to paper on a two-year contract extension with Manchester City.

The move sees her remaining with the English Women’s Super League outfit until the summer of 2026.

Shaw has been in prolific form this season scoring 31 times in 30 appearances to take her overall club tally to 50 goals since joining in 2021 from French outfit Bordeaux.

According to Shaw she was delighted to continue her journey with what she described as an amazing group.

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old who broke the record for most goals across all competitions in a single season….said she is benefiting from having done a thorough self assessment.

Shaw earlier this month won the Manchester City women’s player of the season and goal of the season awards after helping the team to a 4th place finish.

She was also recently named the 2022 Concacaf women’s player of the year.

A feat that saw her becoming the first player from the Caribbean to win the prestigious award.
