Several regional countries could likely send their Paralympic athlete to compete in the island. 

This when the Jamaica Paralympic  Association stages its national athletics trials at the Velocity Fest 13 track meet on April 22 at the National Stadium. 

The meet will serve as a qualifier for the para pan american games in chile in november . 

The national competitors in the track events will compete in the 100 metres, 400 metes and 1500 meters while in the field they will face off in the in long jump , shot putt  and javelin.
