About one hundred residents of the Uphill community near Dumbarton, St. Ann can now enjoy potable water.
This, as the National Water Commission, NWC, installed 120 lengths of 4-inch pipeline, running from the Dumbarton main road to the community.
Member of Parliament for North Western St. Ann Krystal Lee said the project is only the first of several initiatives to get water to areas in the region, that have been without the commodity.
Meantime, Acting Regional Manager for the NWC, David Pryce, is urging residents to apply for their individual connection.
He noted that in the coming week, service teams will be visiting the area to assist residents with the application process.
