Several vaccination blitz sites across the island have run-out of vaccines.

The Health Ministry says the sites which have reached their capacity for today (April 13) are the National Arena in Kingston, the Sandals Inn on Kent Avenue in St. James, all locations in Westmoreland and the Manchester High School.

Speaking with Irie Fm News, Medical Officer of Health for Manchester, Dr. Nadine Williams says there was a target of inoculating 6000 persons, but that figure was exceeded yesterday (April 12).

She adds that the allocation the parish received, was depleted with the scores of persons who turned up at the vaccination sites this morning (April 13).

The Health Ministry says for other locations, priority will be given to appointments, and walk-ins are likely not to get vaccinated today.

The ministry adds that persons who are not vaccinated today, will be able to participate in the next Blitz which will be announced soon.
