Several Vision 2030 goals to be revised due to impact of COVID-19

by November 24th, 2021

Several of the goals under Jamaica’s Vision 2030 Development Plan will have to be revised, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

That’s according to Director General of the Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ) Dr. Wayne Henry.

Responding to questions at a quarterly press briefing today (November 24), Dr. Henry noted that the Institute is now implementing the 2021 to 2024 objectives, most of which are on track.

He said preliminary indications are that the expected out-turns of sectors such as education would have been negatively impacted.
