by February 15th, 2021

Councillor for the Claremont Division in St. Ann, Lambert Weir is calling on the police to conduct more patrols in his division to ensure that residents are abiding by the COVID guidelines.

He made the call while addressing the recent monthly meeting of the St. Ann Municipal Corporation.

Mr Weir said illegal parties and other gatherings are held on a regular basis in the division and that police need to be more vigilant in trying to put an end to these events.

He pointed out that people who attended these events are not obeying the rules and that the behaviour is putting other citizens at risk.

In response, Head of the St. Ann police, Superintendent Dwight Powell said the police will be paying close attention to this situation.
