Newly appointed head of the St. Ann police, Senior Superintendent Calvin Small, is assuring residents that he will be seeking to
address the shortage of vehicles and personnel affecting the parish as part of his first duties taking office.
SSP Small who took up duties in St. Ann last Monday, (May 6) says he has been made aware of many of the problems affecting the parish and that as soon as the situation is fully assessed, he will be meeting with the commissioner to see how the issues can be addressed.
Last Thursday’s (May 9) general monthly meeting of the St. Ann municipal corporation, heard that the vehicle shortage is affecting most stations.
Ocho Rios which has only 1 properly functioning vehicle while stations such as Cave Valley have had none for a number of months.
Meantime, SSP Small said he has confidence in the commissioner and expects the matter will be addressed soon.
