St. Catherine police investigating shooting incident involving JDF soldier

The St. Catherine North Police are investigating a shooting incident, involving a member of the Jamaica Defence Force, JDF in Spanish Town, this morning (February 23).

Head of the Division, Superintendent, Beau Rigabie, says the circumstances which led to the incident are unclear, however its alleged, that the soldier visited the home of his female companion, and a man was seen at the location.

The soldier allegedly discharged his weapon, and the man ran.

It’s not clear, if anyone was injured, during the incident.

This is the second shooting incident, involving a JDF soldier, in less than a week.

Last Wednesday, in Greater Portmore, a soldier shot and wounded a policeman, whom he allegedly found, at his home.
