by December 1st, 2021

Responding to a call for the implementation of health legislation, including the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Act, State Minister in the Ministry of Health and Wellness, Juliet Cuthbert-Flynn says plans are in motion to have that legislation passed soon.

She was speaking during an annual World Aids Day Breakfast Forum hosted by the Jamaica Network of Seropositives this morning (December 1).

The OSH act seeks to protect workers and other persons from harm to their safety, health and welfare through the elimination or minimization of hazards, at workplaces. The Government has said it is committed to enacting the Act.
