Three females were shot, 1 fatally in Homestead, in Spanish Town, St. Catherine.

Dead is 44-year-old Nickeisha Pottinger of the community.

Reports are that at about 7:45 pm, Pottinger and two other women were along a roadway when gunmen approached and opened fire hitting them.

The wounded females were taken to hospital where Pottinger was pronounced dead and the others treated.

Investigations continue.

On Tuesday, 3 people were shot dead and others wounded, in Spanish Town following a shoot out in the old capital.

The flare-up is reportedly due to ongoing gang feud.
