Ventilators coming to aid Covid fight

The country should have more than one hundred ventilators by the first week of May to assist in the Covid-19 crisis.

Chief Medical Officer Jacquiline Bisasor Mckenzie says eighty ventilators are in the Island so far and an additional thirty-two will arrive soon.

In severe cases of Covid-19, patients are placed on ventilators when their lungs can no longer deliver enough oxygen to keep the body going.
