Consultant Pediatrician and Pediatric Nephrologist Dr. Sandrica Young-Peart is cautioning persons to be vigilant against the spread of dengue.
There have been 16 suspected deaths linked to the dengue virus.
Dr. Young-Peart states that the virus is usually accompanied by another symptom.
Dr. Young-Peart says there are four strains of dengue with stages 2 and 3 being the more common.
She says the dengue could be mild or with signs that it may progress
The Consultant Pediatrician states that persons with underlying conditions are at greater risk for the contraction of dengue
Dr. Young-Peart warns that Aspirin will worsen the condition
