The Fern Gully remains closed for 48 hours to allow for clean-up efforts following a fiery bus crash this morning.
There was an oil spill from the crash and the fire which closed down the road way and has resulted in motorists being diverted through the Breadnut Hill community.
Manager of Communication and Customer Services at the National Works Agency (NWA), Stephen Shaw says the NWA is mobilising a work crew to respond to the situation which has affected a large section of the roadway.
Mr Shaw says the scope of works for reinstatement involves trapping and mopping the oil and washing of the roadway before the area can be considered safe for motorists.
Fire personnel on the scene told Irie FM news that attempts were being made to get dirt and sand to put on the road surface.
